How do you determine the asking price for my equipment?
We work with you to establish a realistic asking price based on the equipment’s age, condition, specifications, location, current market conditions, and comparable equipment we have listed or sold. Our experience in the used dredging, pipe and marine equipment market can help provide guidance, but the seller ultimately determines the asking price.
Can I sell the equipment myself while it is listed with Dredge Brokers?
Yes. You may sell your equipment yourself while it is listed with Dredge Brokers. We simply ask that you notify us promptly if the equipment is sold or is no longer available so we can update or remove the listing. Any commission obligations related to a buyer introduced by Dredge Brokers remain subject to the terms of your listing or brokerage agreement.
What if I want to lower the asking price?
You may lower your asking price at any time by notifying Dredge Brokers, and we will update your listing accordingly.
Your listed price should always reflect the price at which you are genuinely willing to sell the equipment. Listings should not be intentionally priced below the amount you are actually willing to accept in order to generate inquiries. Misrepresenting the asking price may result in the listing being removed and could affect your ability to list equipment with Dredge Brokers in the future.
What happens when a customer responds to my listing?
When a potential buyer inquires about your equipment, Dredge Brokers will provide the information we have on file and answer their questions, contacting you for additional details when needed.
If the buyer wants to inspect the equipment, we will make a reasonable effort to determine whether they are a serious and qualified prospect before referring them to you to arrange an inspection.
While we cannot guarantee the accuracy of information provided by prospective buyers, our goal is to minimize unqualified inquiries and unnecessary inspections.
If a buyer invests the time and expense to inspect your equipment, we expect that you are genuinely prepared to sell it at the listed asking price or at another price mutually agreed upon through negotiation.
How long will my listing run?
Indefinitely. In an effort to keep our brokerage listings current, we ask that you contact us if the equipment is no longer available. We may also contact you. from time to time, to check on the status of the equipment.
Can I inspect equipment before purchasing it? If so, can Dredge Brokers arrange an inspection?
Yes. We encourage buyers to inspect equipment before purchasing whenever possible. Dredge Brokers can help coordinate an inspection with the seller, but all inspection, travel, testing, and related costs are generally the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

Can Dredge Brokers assist with financing?
No. Dredge Brokers does not provide financing. Buyers are responsible for arranging their own financing when needed.
